Commutator is an important part of armature of DC motor and AC motor. The commutator acts as a rectifier, and its function is to make the current direction in the armature winding alternating to ensure that the direction of electromagnetic torque is always unchanged. In a DC motor, the alternating current in the ARmature winding is changed into the direct current between the brushes by means of a brush and a commutator. In the AC commutator motor, the frequency of alternating current between brushes meets the working requirements.
